Just the beginning

In Summer 2022 Logos Hope visited Seville, Spain. There, strong connections and partnerships sparked lasting impact, birthing a vision among local believers to share hope to their whole province – of nearly two million people!

The pastors' association had been very active in promoting the visit and many members from their various churches served as volunteers at outreach events during the ship's stay.

And a fresh sense of urgency was emerging among the pastors to reach their city for the Kingdom, as their churches served in unity alongside each other.

Then in Autumn, a group of about ten young people (all enthusiastic volunteers during the ship's visit) showed passion to take their gifts and training further in street-based outreach and disciple-making!

With the pastors’ support, they soon started making their way through the streets of Seville, equipped with resources, sharing hope and mobilising the local Church.

In partnership with pastors and churches around Seville, the OM team in Spain has been distributing the Gospel of John to every household in the region. Regular planning meetings help onboard new pastors to the vision, as well as keep the diverse group pr

The impact

And it changed Raul’s* life.

A little blue booklet came inching under Raul’s front door. The title read: Agua Viva (Living Water) — a Gospel of John. On the back were hand-stamped contact details for a church. With trembling fingers, he opened the little book, and what he read made Raul cancel his plans. Plans to end his life.

The next day (Sunday), he turned up at the church and poured out his heart to the pastor.

Raul’s booklet was just one of the 130,000 Gospels of John distributed since the departure of the ship in 2022. Through this inspiring partnership, more gospels were handed out than ever imagined and the ministry now includes more than 50 pastors and over 30 congregations. God only knows how many more people experience hope like Raul.

Jesus is truly the Hope of the World!
