Annual TeenStreet events have a big impact on young people's lives and their personal relationships with Christ. Wanting to connect with teens outside of the annual event, OM in Italia invited TeenStreet participants for a TeenStreet Day: a 'mini-Teenstreet' with games, adoration, messages and much more.

Young people like A attended the event: “TeenStreet Day was a lot of fun for me, but at the same time, it was a very powerful day. It encouraged me to get even closer to Jesus, not to be afraid to share the good news with others and to entrust everything into His hands. Among the things I liked the most is the fact that in a day, you could have a little taste of what you get in a week in [the original event in] Offenburg, Germany!”

Preparations

Teenstreet Day was a day full of activities, organised to recreate a mini-Teenstreet. During the week before the event, the OM team and volunteers prepared for the scheduled activities, each with different tasks. Some prepared short messages, others organised games, worship, food and other things.

Saturday started early in order to have everything in place for when the teenagers arrived. Breakfast was prepared to welcome participants and for them to say hello and chat with each other. The group then played a game to break the ice and also to wait for some teens who hadn't arrived yet. At 11:00 the programme started with the official welcome, and then worship. It was a nice time when people could worship God and thank Him for all that He has done. At the end of worship, two people presented the theme for TeenStreet events in 2026 — Paths — and gave a preview of the rest of the day.

The day continued with teachings on the Word of God, during which team members shared from the Book of Proverbs and about divine wisdom. After, people got into small groups for a time of sharing and prayer. This, too, was a time of great blessing when everyone could receive from God and encourage one another.

Games and sharing

After lunch, everyone was divided into teams and prepared to go out into the streets of Asti to talk to people. The teens were shown how to approach people to share the gospel using different methods, for example, signs with written questions like 'What is wisdom to you?' Or 'What is love to you?'

Another method was to share a story about a masterpiece and the artist who had an immense love for it. At the end of the story, a mirror was shown to people to make them understand that they themselves are masterpieces, created and loved by God.

Divided into groups, each team was ready with a different way of starting a conversation: some had billboards with questions, others sang, others told the story of the masterpiece and still others approached and began to share the gospel. By 20:00, the teams finished and returned to share their experiences.

Many told of people who were interested in what they shared, who were open, who were happy to receive prayer, and of people who opened up and shared things about their own lives.

As the day came to an end, the group prayed together and thanked God for all they had experienced. Teenstreet Day was a very special day to reconnect, grow spiritually, have fun and be a light for others.

What do the teens think?

"I really enjoyed the TeenStreet Day because it was so encouraging. It's always so good for me to be with believers and share my battles. I came home so encouraged, even for the evangelisation we did in the afternoon. That was really powerful!" – ❤❤ S

"TeenStreet Day was a nice opportunity to meet you among the boys and girls of the Italian group of TeenStreet. We spent a day together with praise, reflection, prayer and games, and it was really fun and uplifting." – E.

“TeenStreet Day was a lot of fun for me, but at the same time, it was a very powerful day. It encouraged me to get even closer to Jesus, not to be afraid to share the good news with others and to entrust everything into His hands. Among the things I liked the most is the fact that in a day, you could have a little taste of what you get in a week in [the original event in] Offenburg, Germany!” – A.

We, as OM in Italia, are grateful to the Lord for the opportunity to organise this special day. It is a privilege and a blessing to be with the teenagers and see their desire to grow in their relationship with God. We continue to pray for our Italian teenagers and invest in their lives. God has a special plan for them, and He is already using them in a powerful way.
