Michaël was born and raised in the Netherlands, where he completed a bachelor’s degree in IT and earned his MSc in business administration, specialising in change management, from the University of Groningen.
Michaël and his wife Anneke first joined OM, serving the area leadership team in Latin America while based in Ecuador. After returning to the Netherlands, Michaël rejoined the business world and worked as a project and IT manager before launching his own consultancy business focused on change management, business resilience and IT.
Michaël also serves as chairman of the elder board at his evangelical church, where he is passionate about strengthening the local church and encouraging authentic Christian leadership. He and Anneke still live in the Netherlands, and they have three children.
