Abkhazia is a small republic neighboring with Russia and is devastated by the war with Georgia back in 90s. Many are still grieving over the loss of family members who fought in the war. The people are facing poverty and the social economic situation is not the best. Also the people live combined with a paganistic religion or orthodoxie with a lot of superstitious believes. There will be opportunity to support local team members in reaching out Abkhaz people, join prayer walks or hikes; visit homes of the poor and needy families; you can be involved in practical work with building or gardening; as well as you can minister to girls and women of Abkhazia, mentor teens and youth. Often times during the year our team organizes children and teenage camps and clubs. Come and join the work of the Lord among Abkhaz people.
