You will be responsible to make sure our team members are cared for as they serve with us. You do so on an organisational level by fostering a culture of care among our whole team, supporting leaders and managers to develop good care practices and facilitating training to develop team members in emotional health & resilience.
You look at the big picture, but also have each individual in mind and heart. You develop relationships with all our team members, look out for them and provide prayer, a listening ear and wise counsel in times of need. Especially in difficult times (for example in transitions or during conflict) you’re able to offer time and resources to help people understand and deal with situations in a godly and healthy manner. You have excellent people skills and are able to walk alongside people with integrity and wisdom.
As part of our international organisation you’ll have access to a large network of people care providers who can be a resource and support to you. Previous experience in counselling/mentoring and cross-cultural situations is helpful, but there’s also excellent training and opportunities for personal development available to help with the role.
