OM Norway is looking for a Communications Manager to help share what God is doing through OM—clearly, creatively, and consistently. You will lead our communications output across web, social media, email, and publications, while supporting a small team and a wider network of contributors. About the role
As Communications Manager, you will coordinate OM Norway’s communications work across our website, publications, supporter updates, and social media. You will support a contributor network (translators, designers, photographers, videographers, journalists, and content creators) and set clear rhythms so the team can share strong stories with consistency.
Local ministry involvement
In addition, you will be able to engage in reaching the least reached through our local ministry in OM Norway. Besides being a sending field, OM Norway is now deeply involved in reaching out to immigrants and refugees living in Norway. Weekly activity for our team involved teaching Norwegian in our language school (three days a week) language cafés separate for men and women, Discovery Bible Studies and prayer meetings. Every year we arrange a free Children’s Camp for the local kids, and every month we have a gathering of Muslim families in our homes. We are in a pioneering work of church planting, always seeking new ways of reaching out to the community.
Key responsibilities
· Lead the communications workflow and create a yearly communications calendar so key messages are planned, timely, and effective.
· Manage core channels: website, email/prayer letters, and social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and beyond).
· Coordinate the magazine and other publications, including planning, editing, layout coordination, and liaison with printers and suppliers.
· Manage and encourage contributors and volunteers (translators, designers, photographers, videographers, journalists, and content creators).
· Adapt OM International resources for an OM Norway audience, including translation and localisation (language, tone, and context).
· Plan campaigns around key ministry moments (events, training, outreach, fundraising updates, and prayer focuses).
· Maintain content archives, contact lists, and databases with clear structure for files, photos, video, and publications.
· Uphold confidentiality and integrity, and report to OM Norway’s Field Leader.
Qualifications
· Strong organisational and communication skills; able to lead priorities, timelines, and people.
· Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages an asset. Willing to learn Norwegian.
· Able to work cross-culturally and engage with different denominations.
· Comfortable with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator (basic working knowledge), plus Canva and Meta Business Suite.
· Comfortable with platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
· Able to translate/localise content (or learn quickly), with good editorial judgement for tone and clarity.
· Emotional intelligence, adaptability, and a proactive, independent working style.
