E4M - English4Missions is a full-time, residential training programme designed to equip missionaries with the English language as it is taught focusing on daily situations on the mission field. Our program is divided into two sections: 1.KNOW & BE: 22 weeks of lessons starting with the Foundation weeks (A1), developing into the Growth weeks (A2) and culminating into the Expansion weeks (B1), enabling missionaries to communicate on day-to-day situations, share their opinions about different topics in a simple way, share their personal testimonies and the Gospel in English. 2.DO (PRACTICE): 3 months Practical Ministry Experience, an immersion on one of our ships as a short-term volunteer (for singles) or in one of our fields around the world (singles, couples, and families), enabling missionaries to consolidate what they have learned as they communicate, learn on day-to-day situations, share and experience life overseas. Programme Highlights: -Learn to pray in English -Share devotionals, your testimony of salvation and missionary calling in English -Share the Gospel and memorize key verses in English. -OM team Devotionals in English -English Bible Study Group -Sunday service in English -Reading books -Games and activities -Movies and music -Interaction in English with missionaries who work at and visit OM in Brazil base

Participant Profile

As a participant, you would need to: - Be at least 18 of age at the start of the programme -Be an active member of an evangelical church for more than two years -Have the support of your family -Be recommended by your church leadership - Have a desire and openness to allow God to work in your life - Have a desire to learn, be challenged and grow as a person - Be flexible and be willing to work in a team

Accommodation
Participants stay in dormitory-style rooms. There are separate blocks for male and female. Be prepared to grow in teamwork and service by helping to keep the training base clean and tidy.
There will be a variety of meals prepared by our kitchen team and some by the E4M participants themselves. Participants will be expected to eat most meals together. Please let us know in advance of any special dietary needs (vegetarian, food allergies, dairy-free, gluten free, etc.)
Participants are expected to make their own travel arregements to and from the base in São José dos Campos, São Paulo, Brazil. The nearest airport is Guarulhos (GRU) International Airport of São Paulo.
Participants should be in good health and able to do typical house chores, play games with children and youth and walk a reasonable distance without difficulty. Each participant is responsible to obtain appropriate emergency health medical insurance & bring medications they take or need with them. Vaccines: Participants must be vaccinated against Yellow Fever and have an International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP)
